All fees and costs associated with shipping are separate from the hammer price (winning bid), buyer's premium and sales taxes.
Shipping and insurance can be arranged through our preferred courier, PakShip, at 905-470-6874. All shipping and handling charges will be billed through the courier. Local pickup is also available within 5 business days of payment in full. Alternatively, winning bidders can arrange their own shipping if cleared by Oakwood Auctions.
The winning bidder is responsible for understanding the import fees and import laws of their respective province/state/country. It is also the bidder's responsibility to obtain any and all import documentation (import/export licenses, certificates or other documentation) prior to bidding. Oakwood Auctions will not be responsible for bids placed on an item which is restricted in the aforementioned bidder's country. In such cases, the winning bidder will still be responsible for payment within 2 business days of receiving the invoice. Oakwood Auctions is more than happy to help bidders obtain an estimate on duties and taxes but these are just estimates; we cannot guarantee nor be held liable for the accuracy of said estimates.
Oakwood Auctions is not responsible for damaged, lost or stolen merchandise while in transit.
Oakwood Auctions reserves the right to ship parcels via our own in-house shipping methods, based on actual weight or dimensional weight (whichever is greater).
If your item has not been shipped or picked up within 5 business days of the auction conclusion, a storage fee will be charged per item at a rate of $15.00 USD per diem.

Grand Opening Auction: Session 2 (October 21st, 2018)

 Oakwood Auctions, in partnership with Golden Eagle Art Gallery, is proud to present the second session of our GRAND OPENING AUCTION of fine art and collectibles. Today, we feature a large collection of original posters, limited edition prints, paintings, sports memorabilia and other collectibles.The limited edition section includes acclaimed U.S. and Canadian artists such as Bev Doolittle, Jim Salvati, Greg Olsen, to name a few.

A number of unique single collectible lots are featured in this auction including a mid-18th century book, “Historia Naturalis Ranarum Nostratium” (Lot 1274); an early French Legion of Honor medal instituted by Napoleon in 1805 (Lot 1273); and a 1920 “Melody Major” full size banjo with its original case in superb condition (Lot 871).

Numismatists and philatelists will appreciate our extensive selection of coins, bank notes, and stamps. U.S. collectors are encouraged to look out for Lot 1270, a rare 1893-S U.S. silver dollar. World stamp collectors should note Lot 1430, an extremely rare mint condition 1 Candarin Chinese stamp known as the Imperial Dragon. This stamp is Scotts #A-1 issue of the Imperial Maritime Customs Post. For U.S. stamp collectors, we have an impressive U.S. collection including many early and rare examples (Lot 1439).

Oakwood Auctions is also pleased to offer an exclusive Golden Eagle Art Gallery designed and produced ‘Coin/Stamp-Art collectible’ entitled, “The United States Commemorative Collection” (Lot 1285).


We are excited to be showcasing many rare collectible lots from around the world. Take a look at an interesting “Hongxion MP Famille” Chinese vase (Lot 1289), Egyptian papyrus (Lots 760-763), and an 18th century pair of Chinese shoes – with the only other pair found in the Bata Shoe Museum (Lot 1301). For those seeking unique collectibles, check out our selections of framed art, beautifully paired with matching native and western artifacts (Lots 748-759).

In addition to showcasing spectacular lots of interest to collectors and art lovers, Oakwood Auctions displays unique finds of interest to hobbyists and sports memorabilia enthusiasts. Hobbyists will enjoy displaying some of our framed celebrity records (Lots 1290-1300) and fishing memorabilia (Lot 1275), while sports memorabilia enthusiasts should examine an array of items including famous framed jerseys and limited edition prints (Lots 1303-1341).

The auctioneer is the legal representative of Oakwood Auctions. As such, the Auctioneer's decisions during a live auction are without dispute and are final.
Oakwood Auctions reserves the right to reject any bid for any reason whatsoever. If there is a dispute between bidders or the validity of a bid, Oakwood Auctions will make the final determination.
If a winning bid is not paid in full in the designated amount of time, Oakwood Auctions can, at their discretion, re-auction the item and the delinquent bidder will be invoiced for any shortfall of said item.
The bidder must understand and adhere to the "Conditions of Sale" and "Terms and Conditions" prior to placing any bids.
