Description:

An elegant and thoughtfully curated grouping of sterling silver and studio art glass, representing refined craftsmanship across Anglo-Canadian and English silversmithing traditions alongside 20th century art glass design.

Leading the collection is a distinguished Birks Sterling pierced bonbon bowl, crafted by Canada’s most prestigious silver house. The bowl features lavish repoussé scrollwork and shell ornamentation framing a delicately pierced body of crescent and cross motifs. The underside bears the BIRKS STERLING mark, confirming authenticity and quality. Birks sterling hollowware remains highly sought after for its enduring design and historic importance within Canadian decorative arts. Condition is excellent with light surface wear and a soft, desirable patina.

Complementing the bowl is a finely hallmarked English sterling silver napkin ring with rope-twist borders and engraved Gothic monogram W.R.W. The clear British assay marks authenticate sterling standard. The piece displays attractive age patination without structural damage, retaining strong collector appeal.

Also included is an ornate sterling silver serving spoon featuring an Art Nouveau inspired engraved bowl and decorative handle with circular boss motifs. The craftsmanship demonstrates high-relief detail and elegant symmetry. Marked STERLING, it remains in very good antique condition with light surface wear only.

A striking Canadian sterling pierced dish stamped 925 and MADE IN CANADA with maker’s mark completes the silver component of the lot. The symmetrical openwork foliate design radiates from a central boss, offering exceptional visual presence suitable for display or refined table service.

Balancing the silver is a warm amber studio art glass bowl, hand-blown with controlled crackle texture and hexagonal base transitioning to a flared rim. The piece displays rich honey coloration and dimensional surface texture. Condition is excellent with no visible chips or cracks.

This grouping offers both decorative versatility and intrinsic silver value, appealing to collectors of sterling silver hollowware, English hallmarked silver, Birks sterling, Canadian 925 silver, and studio art glass. Each piece presents attractively with honest age wear and no major condition concerns observed. A refined ensemble suitable for resale, display, or curated tabletop presentation.

Overall very good antique to vintage condition. Light surface scratching and tarnish consistent with age. No observed dents, splits, repairs, chips, or cracks. Natural patina present.
