Gregory Pagani ( 1558-1605) "An Apostle's Vision of The Infant Christ" original drawing. A superbly drawn sketch - a study for a major painting or a portion of a future large work. Pagani was one of the leading painters of the Florentine School,at the time. (1558- 1605) This original is part of a collection of late period original renaisssance drawings consigned to Oakwood Auctions by a prominent Toronto family. The patriarch of the family collected the drawings in the 19th century and brought them from Britain and Europe to Canada in the 1800's. We at Oakwood have taken the drawing to a third party appraiser (see report), who has studied the drawing, and has stated his opinion that it is an authentic Gregori Pagani creation.
