Description:

An exceptional and rarely encountered example of American boutique luthiery, this Jarrell Custom solid body electric guitar represents the refined craftsmanship and artistic individuality that defined small production American builders in the late twentieth century.

Constructed with a visually commanding swamp ash body, the instrument showcases dramatic cathedral grain striping beneath a thin natural finish that allows the tonal wood to resonate freely. The sculpted double cutaway form is both ergonomic and bold, balancing aggressive modern lines with timeless handcrafted sensibility.

The ebony fingerboard is adorned with intricate abalone wing motif inlays, each precisely set and beautifully iridescent under light. The bound headstock carries an abalone Jarrell logo and flame inlay, a signature decorative element rarely seen outside limited boutique runs. Multi-ply binding frames the headstock with meticulous attention to detail.

Electronics feature a trio of Seymour Duncan single coil pickups, delivering articulate clarity, dynamic response, and studio grade tonal versatility. Black hardware appointments complement the natural body aesthetic. Controls consist of master volume, tone configuration, and blade selector, offering a broad tonal palette suitable for professional performance and recording.

The maple neck exhibits a smooth satin finish with clean grain and excellent structural integrity. Frets show only light wear. Gold bridge hardware displays age appropriate patina, further affirming originality.

Condition is very good vintage boutique condition. Light cosmetic wear consistent with careful ownership. No visible cracks, breaks, or structural repairs observed. Electronics and playability should be professionally evaluated prior to performance use, as with any vintage instrument.

Accompanied by its original embossed Jarrell hard shell case with vibrant orange plush interior. The presence of the original branded case significantly enhances collector desirability.

Jarrell guitars were produced in limited numbers and remain scarce on the secondary market. Examples with original case, high grade inlay work, and premium pickup configurations are particularly uncommon. This instrument represents an opportunity to acquire a distinctive American boutique electric guitar that stands apart from mass production brands.
